On 30 January 1948, the Indian state under Congress decided to punish the Brahmins for no crime of theirs. Devotees of Gandhian Ahimsa were unleashed on innocent Brahmins to perpetrate a political genocide. Congress supported mobs pillaged, burnt and looted the homes of hundreds of innocent Brahmin families. These burning →

The mischievous use their education for conflict, money for intoxication, and power for oppressing others. Honest ones use it for knowledge, charity, and protecting others, respectively.
THE HMV:
HMV, His Master’s Voice. HMV might have been a famous record company in the past, but in Maharashtra it has found a new meaning. As Devendra Fadnavis put it, His Master’s Voice points towards an ecosystem which creates narratives for their political masters — leaders of Sharad Pawar’s NCP. It would be comical were it not such a severe indictment of their professionalism and integrity. Also known as the Lutyens, this ecosystem comprises of journalists, activists and analysts-on-hire. While Narendra Modi is the target for the Lutyens, the HMVs have Devendra Fadnavis as their target. In past few days, a false narrative is being created that after the Devendra Fadnavis – Eknath Shinde government came to power, big projects are going out of Maharashtra. The HMVs who benefited from Maha Vikas Aghadi’s old corrupt political establishment — financially, politically or otherwise, faithfully echoed this narrative across the state. No attempt was made to factcheck, counter-voices were selectively quarantined, and every attempt was made to subvert the truth. The HMVs dismiss any counter-voices as ‘trolls’, and pretend that they themselves are the only repository of all wisdom, and the rest are just an illiberal, illiterate bunch of mindless millions, easily swayed by a demagogue or a despot.
THE TRUTH
The HMVs who control the narrative in India rarely speak the truth. They distort and dissemble. The HMVs create spiteful fiction day after day so convincingly that a lot of us actually believe it to be facts. While the inefficient Maha Vikas Aghadi needs to be blamed for the loss of projects in Maharashtra, the HMVs conveniently protected their masters and pinned the blame on a 100-day-old Devendra Fadnavis – Eknath Shinde government.
Vedanta-Foxconn:
Vedanta-Foxconn moved to Gujarat in September 2020, during the Maha Vikas Aghadi government run by Uddhav Thackeray.
On 8 August 2015, Devendra Fadnavis inked an MoU of $2 billion with Foxconn. This investment was later scaled up to $5 billion, making it one of the biggest foreign direct investments in Maharashtra. In 2016, Devendra Fadnavis government again signed a separate agreement with Vedanta, following a policy introduced by the state to promote investment by semiconductor equipment firms. Later, when Vedanta and Foxconn set up a joint venture and evinced business interest again, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government was in power in Maharashtra.
It was a well-known fact that Vedanta-Foxconn were in talks with other states including Gujarat for over two years. For all these years the MVA government was in power in Maharashtra. However, the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government didn’t even bother to invite Vedanta-Foxconn executives for discussions and no MoU was signed as a result. Even a basic city-survey was not undertaken. In fact, Vedanta-Foxconn is said to have written letters to the Maha Vikas Aghadi government on 5 January 2022, 5 May 2022 and even on 14 May 2022, but the MVA government did not even bother to reply. The MVA government failed to interest Vedanta-Foxconn to set up their business in Maharashtra and yet the HMVs are blaming Devendra Fadnavis and Narendra Modi for purposely shifting the project to Gujarat.
CM Eknath Shinde, who was earlier a part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government said the MVA government had been unable to give a positive response to the company on incentives and facilities. Even earlier, MVA minister Subhas Desai said, “Foxconn’s investment commitment in Maharashtra is not happening. It will not happen in the future as well”.
Fact is, a day after being sworn-in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis after finding out that Vedanta-Foxconn has decided on Gujarat, spoke to Anil Agarwal, the Chairman of Vedanta, and offered a package far better than that of Gujarat. However, Anil Agarwal is said to have told Devendra Fadnavis that the company had reached an understanding with Gujarat government and were no longer in a position to reverse their decision.
Tata-Airbus:
Tata-Airbus moved to Gujarat in September 2021, during the Maha Vikas Aghadi government run by Uddhav Thackeray.
“Records reviewed by The Sunday Express show that the Tatas were looking at Gujarat as early as December 2021 — when the MVA was in power”. BusinessWorld, on 14 February 2022, when MVA was still in power, published a news article titled, “Airbus-Tata Aircraft Manufacturing Facility Likely in Gujarat”. Documents of Gujarat Authority for Advance Ruling point that even locations for the plant in Gujarat had been finalized when the MVA was in power in Maharashtra.
Devendra Fadnavis, when he was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, in 2016, when even an MoU between Tata and Airbus wasn’t yet inked, met officials from Tata to invite them to set up their business in Nagpur. He consistently followed up with them till he was in power. In fact, in April 2021, when the MVA was in power, when it became clear that Tata-Airbus was moving to Gujarat, despite being in the opposition, Devendra Fadnavis spoke to the Tatas to request them to stay in Maharashtra. However, the officials bluntly told him that, “the state’s atmosphere is not worth investing in”.
Fact is, there is not a single paper, letter, proposal or communication of any meeting between the MVA government and Tata Group or Airbus with regards to the Tata-Airbus project. Fact is, the project in charge of the company had personally called Uddhav Thackeray in 2021 to inform him of their decision to shift the project to Gujarat.
It is obvious that the Maha Vikas Aghadi and its HMVs knew well in advance about the Tata-Airbus project being shifted to Gujarat. Yet, instead of putting in efforts to encourage them to stay in Maharashtra, the MVA chose to continue to display its apathy for development. Now, after the truth is out, they and their HMVs are trying to create a narrative to hide their incompetence.
Safran:
On 2 March 2021, Ambassador of France to India, Emmanuel Lenain, tweeted a photo of his visit to Safran’s brand new factory in Hyderabad, where the company produces components for LEAP engines. This was the time when the Maha Vikas Aghadi was in power in Maharashtra. On 5 July 2022, CEO of Safran met Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and briefed him of their plans to set up a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility for overhaul of LEAP-1A & LEAP-1B engines. This was barely five days after the Devendra Fadnavis – Eknath Shinde government came in power. To insinuate that industries take such big decisions in a matter of under a week is utterly foolish.
Fact is, Devendra Fadnavis during his tenure as Chief Minister, personally invited Safran to open their MRO facility in MIHAN, Nagpur. He initiated a meeting between Safran officials and MADC which operates MIHAN. However, after Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA came to power, they neglected Devendra Fadnavis’ initiatives and ignored communicating with Safran. It was then, in 2021, after the MVA failed to respond to Safran, the company decided to expand their plant in Hyderabad.
INCOMPETANCY OF THE MVA:
In 2018, the Devendra Fadnavis government became the first government in the country to pass a fintech policy to support as many as 300 startups of the sector in under three years. Apart from the fintech policy, the state government cleared policies for defence and aerospace, electric vehicles, logistics, textile, garments, gems and jewellery, and coir (coconut fibre) etc. with the aim to rake up investments of around Rs 10 lakh crore. The defence and aerospace policy aimed to create 1 lakh jobs and attract $2 billion in investments. The Electric Vehicle Policy incentivized electric vehicles to provide owners subsidy ranging up to Rs 1 lakh. The textile policy aimed to create 10 lakh jobs with additional subsidies and discounts, and a 5% capital grant for investment of Rs 500 crore and above.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi government in 2.5 years failed to provide any impetus to these policies. In fact, they hardly announced any new projects, but one of the first decisions it took was to review all ongoing infrastructure projects, work on which started during Devendra Fadnavis’ government. As Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis had kick-started several projects — Mumbai Metro, Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway, Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL), Coastal Road, Nagpur Metro and Pune Metro, among many others. All such, and many more projects started during Devendra Fadnavis’ tenure as Chief Minister had been put under review, scrapped or delayed due to the ineffective governance of the MVA. The state faced several such major setbacks under the MVA government, since they were least bothered about doing development work. The entire exercise has proven MVA’s lack of concern for the people the government is meant to serve.
The 2.5 years of Maha Vikas Aghadi was saturated with events of corruption, extortion and political menace. This embedded culture of corruption led to squalid misgovernance. The rot is reflected in its jailed ministers. Being crudely shoved out of power, and with nothing constructive worth showing, Sharad Pawar and his HMVs are only left with narratives to twist.
THE FAKE NARRATIVE:
Maharashtra wasn’t supposed to prosper or elect non-NCP governments. But it did. Not once, but for a consecutive second time. HMV were mortified. How could this come to pass?
We have in our midst vested interests whose only aim is to stain Devendra Fadnavis’ and BJP’s growth story. The HMV have been given such a free pass till now that today they freely peddle lies about him, the country and the Government. For decades, institutions were stuffed with people owing allegiance Sharad Pawar, while keeping people of other persuasions out.
Under the cloak of journalism, HMVs have conducted their agenda of defaming Devendra Fadnavis. They have cooked up stories which are nothing but scurrilous and phony. The campaign to defame him is not new. From the day he became Chief Minister, there has been a concerted effort by the commissars who control political commentary to paint him as someone who’ll divide Maharashtra. They planted stories suggesting he’ll split Maharashtra by making a separate state out of Vidarbha. They created narratives implying he’ll break off Mumbai from Maharashtra. Politicians colluded across party lines to smear him. His reforms process was being thwarted by a filibustering opposition.
The HMVs have a single-point agenda: to discredit Devendra Fadnavis at every forum, regional and national. For this, they will inveigle farmers, co-opt media groups and harness “academicians” to mount a multi-cornered assault on his development-oriented politics. The narratives will be twisted, bent and kneaded till it bears no resemblance to the truth.
All this merely betrays HMV’s desperation and out-of-date ideological posture. Their frustration lies in the fact that many an institution that they had captured earlier is slipping out of their hands. The masses are awakened today. Social media has transformed the way society thinks. The mainstream media, sections of which have been HMV bastions, have been tamed to a large extend by the explosion of the social media. Exposed and exhausted, the HMVs are on the lookout for new ways of slander and sophistry to defame Devendra Fadnavis. They must not be given any chance to succeed, for it is the future of the New India that is at stake.

Maharashtra has only moved backward under Uddhav Thackeray's Maha Vikas Aghadi. For the state of Maharashtra to get its growth story back the MVA government must go. Shiv Sena must go. Nationalist Congress Party must go. Congress must go.

Lutyens darbaris under the garb of journalism, have for a long time used the exposure they get to create false narratives. Their hatred for Modi has blinded them to the extent that they are willing to destroy the reputation and life-long work of honest citizens.
The Congress and its Lutyens cabal do not for a moment think before tarnishing India’s image — for, for them, removing Modi and plunging India back to the old corrupt political continuum is the only mode of survival.
The battle lines have been drawn for the 2019 general elections. The Congress and their pets continue their deplorable practice of turning tragedy into farce in pursuit of cynical politics.
Devendra Fadnavis, scripting history, showed that power, pelf and position alone do not constitute politics. Devendra Fadnavis has made such huge sacrifice, and did it so quietly, effortlessly and without any fanfare attached to it. Devendra Fadnavis is thus, a political yogi.
The rabble rouser is not the Yogi, but the hate mongering journalists and editors who seek to demean the verdict of the masses. Yogi Adityanath will prove to be a popular and effective Chief Minister, overseeing a regime of peace, harmony and justice for all.
India stands transformed under Modi’s leadership, achieving milestones in infrastructure, security, and economic growth once neglected under Gandhi rule. Yet, persistent pessimism blinds us to this progress. To secure India’s future, voters must embrace decisive leadership and reject divisive dynasties.
Between choosing the high moral ground and the practical path, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chose the practical one by aligning with Ajit Pawar. To blame the BJP for not choosing the moral high ground while giving a clean-chit to others for playing dirty politics is nothing but hypocrisy.
